Police Appeal After Woman Assaulted Near Tregirls Beach, Padstow

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted while walking near Tregirls beach, close to Padstow, on the evening of Saturday 21st June.

What Happened?

Between 7.30pm and 9pm, the woman was walking back towards Padstow from the direction of Tregirls beach when she was approached by a man wearing a red bucket hat. According to reports, the man’s behaviour made her feel uncomfortable before she was grabbed.

She was able to make her way safely to Broad Street in Padstow, where the incident was reported to police.

Police Appeal

Officers have confirmed that a 39-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been released on bail until September while enquiries continue.

Searches and investigations remain ongoing, and police are urging anyone who was in the area or who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward.
