Two Charged After Alleged Assault in Penryn
Pair appear in court following alleged assault on 15th July
Two people have been charged after police were called to an alleged assault in Penryn earlier this week.
Officers were alerted on Tuesday 15th July following reports that a man and a woman had been found injured on Lower Market Street.
Charges Brought Forward
Matthew Cunningham, 40, from Hilgrove Road in Newquay, has been charged with:

Two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Wounding with intent

Possessing a weapon in a public place
Nikita Trembath, 32, from Permarin Road in Penryn, has been charged with:

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Possessing an offensive weapon in a public place
-
Possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, gas or electrical incapacitation
Court Appearance
Both Matthew and Nikita were remanded and appeared at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17th July.
