Pub Quiz Raises £370 for Penlee Lifeboat
A popular pub quiz at the Fisherman’s Arms in Newlyn has raised £370 for Penlee Lifeboat Station, with the donation handed over just as the pub prepares for a change in ownership.
Donation Handed Over
On Saturday, Jo and Lucy Sennett, the outgoing landlord and landlady of the Fisherman’s Arms, presented the donation to Penlee Crewman Trevelyan Worth. The money was raised through a weekly pub quiz, bringing the community together to support the lifeboat station.
Trevelyan is set to take over as landlord of the Fisherman’s Arms this weekend, marking a new chapter for the well-known pub.
Lifeboat Crew Grateful for Support
Penlee Lifeboat Coxswain Patch Harvey expressed his gratitude for the donation, saying:
“We really appreciate the donation from Jo and Lucy and wish them all the best in their new ventures.”
The Fisherman’s Arms has been a strong supporter of Penlee Lifeboat, and the latest contribution continues a tradition of community backing for the crew.
