Another Development Bid for Perranuthnoe Shack Site – Will It Go Ahead?
A fresh planning application has been submitted to develop the site of the shack on the coast path at Perranuthnoe, which was previously burnt to the ground.
New Plans Spark Fresh Concerns
An email notification this morning revealed that the current owners have submitted another proposal for the site, which sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The move has reignited opposition from those who believe the land should remain undeveloped, surrounded as it is by unspoilt nature.
Objections Open Again
Niki Groves, reacting to the news, expressed disappointment at yet another attempt to develop the site, urging those who object to make their voices heard once more. Niki suggested that objectors could reuse their previous statements to simplify the process, adding that responses don’t need to be lengthy to be effective.
For those wishing to view the application, full details are available here: Cornwall Council Planning Portal.
With objections open again, the question remains—will this latest attempt to develop the site succeed?
