Have Your Say: Plans Revealed for 24/7 Warehouse at Chiverton Cross
Local people are being asked to share their views on plans for a major new logistics warehouse near Chiverton Cross junction on the A30.
Consultation opens this week
The public consultation launches on 14th November 2025, giving residents, businesses and community groups the chance to learn more about the proposals and provide feedback before a planning application is submitted to Cornwall Council in the coming months.
A drop-in event will take place at Truro City Football Club, Truro Sports Hub, Threemilestone, TR4 9AN, on Tuesday 18th November from 4pm to 7pm. It will offer an opportunity to meet members of the project team, find out more about the development and share views in person.
What’s being proposed
The plans include a 10,000 sq metre logistics warehouse, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week as a regional hub for last-stage parcel deliveries.
According to PMK Consult, the warehouse would help meet Cornwall’s growing demand for logistics and distribution services, supporting sustainable regional economic growth and strengthening Cornwall’s logistics network.
The proposed site, located near the A30 and A390, has been identified as a strategically accessible area. The scheme is expected to deliver:
-
Around 180 full-time jobs
-
An annual £10.8 million boost to Cornwall’s economy in Gross Value Added
-
Approximately £155,000 per year in business rates, contributing to local services and infrastructure
Developer’s statement
A spokesperson for PMK Consult said:
“This proposal represents a significant investment in Cornwall’s future. Cornwall Council has identified logistics as a crucial sector to enable the county’s economic growth, and our proposals respond to this directly. A logistics warehouse at Chiverton Cross will create jobs, boost local supply chains and support the county’s growing logistics and e-commerce sectors.
We know how important it is that new developments reflect local priorities, and we want to ensure this scheme delivers real benefits for nearby communities as well as the wider region. We encourage everyone to come along to our drop-in event or take part online to share their views before we finalise the plans.”
