Pool Academy Students Learn About NHS Careers in Radiography and Pathology

Students at Pool Academy have had a closer look at careers in radiography and pathology during a special NHS session held this term.

Inside the Careers Talk

Year 10 and 11 students heard from an NHS professional who walked them through what diagnostic radiography and pathology involve, the science behind the roles, and the different ways into these areas of medicine. They were also told about the chance to take part in an observational work experience day in radiography.

The visit is part of Pool Academy’s wider effort to help students explore high quality career opportunities and understand the range of futures open to them. The school runs various enrichment activities designed to encourage ambition and support students as they plan ahead.
