Porthleven Environment Group Seeks Community Support for Flower Troughs Project
In a recent update from the Porthleven Environment Group, the volunteer organisation has shared a pressing concern regarding the future of their well-loved flower troughs project along Wellington Road. For the past five years, this group has dedicated efforts to plant and maintain four beautiful flower troughs, enhancing the main road into Porthleven with vibrant floral displays.
However, the group now faces a financial hurdle that puts the continuation of this beautification project at risk. Due to rising costs and financial constraints, the Porthleven Environment Group urgently requires funds to purchase plants and compost for the upcoming planting season. The total cost to replenish the troughs for another year has been calculated at £70.
Through their social media outreach, the group has made a heartfelt appeal to the community for donations. By securing the necessary funds, they aim to keep the entrance to Porthleven lively and welcoming with the floral arrangements that have become a cherished sight for residents and visitors alike.
The Porthleven Environment Group expresses gratitude in advance to anyone who can contribute to preserving this colourful gateway into their town. They hope that through community support, they can continue to brighten up Wellington Road with their floral displays, contributing to the beauty and spirit of Porthleven.
