Cornwall Baby Show Returns to Portreath This Weekend

Gwel an Mor to host one-stop event for new and expectant parents this Sunday

Hundreds of families are expected to make their way to Gwel an Mor in Portreath this Sunday 20th July for the return of the Cornwall Baby Show.

Now in its third year, the one-day event is shaping up to be the biggest yet, thanks to a partnership between Cornwall’s Rewind Radio and NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. Running from 10am to 4pm, the show promises a packed day of expert advice, local businesses, and free health support for parents-to-be.

Support for parents at every stage

Health services will be at the heart of the event, with an on-site NHS team offering free health checks, including blood pressure monitoring and vaccination advice. A dedicated NHS midwifery team will also be available throughout the day to share guidance on how to stay well during pregnancy.

Nicola Langridge, Director of Cornwall’s Rewind Radio, said:

Alongside healthcare support, the Cornwall Baby Show will feature a range of stalls from local traders and businesses, offering everything from baby essentials to parenting services. Organisers describe it as a one-stop-shop for new and expectant parents across Cornwall.

Hosted at the picturesque Gwel an Mor resort, the event is free to attend and open to everyone.
