A family fun day full of music, food, crafts and kids’ activities is heading to Rayle Farm near Redruth on Saturday 28th June – and it’s all in aid of Cornish child bereavement charity Penhaligon’s Friends.

The event runs from 11am to 3pm and is part of the charity’s 30th anniversary celebrations. With entry just £3 per person and under 2s going free, it promises an affordable day out for families, with plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Free Activities for Children

There’ll be lots of free activities throughout the day, including forest school craft sessions and live storytelling by local children’s author Alasdair Hoswell. Other family favourites like bouncy castles, laser tag and face painting will also be available.

Live Music, Party Games and Dancing

Music will play a big part in the day, with three local live acts lined up to perform. Cornwall’s Rewind Radio crew will also be there, hosting party games and dancing sessions to keep the energy high.

Shopping, Food and a Big Raffle

Stalls and crafters will be selling their creations, alongside a huge charity raffle packed with prizes. There’ll be food and drink vendors, cakes, coffee and even an ice cream van to keep everyone refreshed.

Supporting a Local Charity

Julie Parker, chief executive at Penhaligon’s Friends, said:

“We’re looking forward to our Family Fun Day on Saturday 28th June at Rayle Farm and everyone is very welcome to join us to enjoy everything on offer as we celebrate 30 years of supporting children and their families across Cornwall after the loss of someone special.

“There will be so much to do, rain or shine, including lots of free activities for families and their children, music, shopping as well as food and drink. It’ll also help us raise funds to ensure we can be there to support bereaved children in Cornwall in the future.”

The event will be held at Rayle Farm, Bridge, Redruth, TR16 4QP. Parking is free.
