Witness Appeal After Road Traffic Collision Near Redruth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision near Redruth on Saturday 16th August.

Collision at Scorrier Crossroads

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are investigating the circumstances around a collision at a crossroads on the B3298 at Scorrier, near Redruth, at approximately 8.15pm on Saturday 16th August.

The incident involved a white Aprilla motorcycle and a blue Volkswagen Fox car, which left the scene.

Rider Taken to Hospital

As a result of the collision, the rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old male, sustained injuries that required hospital treatment. Police confirmed these injuries were not thought to be life-changing.

Following enquiries, the Volkswagen was located and the driver identified.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers are now looking to speak with any members of the public who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam or mobile phone footage.

“We are investigating a road traffic collision near Redruth on Saturday 16 August and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.”
