Fancy a Brew? RNLI Wants You to Host a Cuppa for the Crew
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is inviting supporters to put the kettle on and host a Cuppa for the Crew to help raise money for the charity’s lifesaving work.
A New Way to Fundraise
Launched last month, Cuppa for the Crew encourages people to host a tea or coffee event to raise funds for the RNLI’s volunteer crews and lifeguards. Whether it’s a simple cup of tea, a coffee break or even a hot chocolate, every pound raised will go directly towards supporting the RNLI across the UK and Ireland.
It’s easy to take part. Simply organise your event, invite friends, family or colleagues, and enjoy a cuppa together while collecting donations. The campaign is flexible, with events able to be hosted anywhere that suits best – from an office or community hall to a favourite café or even outdoors as part of a picnic.
Resources to Make It Simple
Those who register will receive access to resources to help plan and prepare for their fundraiser. This includes printable bunting, cake toppers, posters and invites to help set the scene.
In 2024, RNLI lifeboats launched over 9,000 times, saving more than 350 lives. RNLI lifeguards aided over 17,000 people. The charity says these achievements are only possible thanks to the generosity of the public and fundraisers.
‘Enjoying a Cuppa with Family and Friends’
RNLI Marketing Executive Claire Ralston said:
‘We are delighted to launch the Cuppa for the Crew campaign, and we’re really excited to get started.
‘Enjoying a cuppa with family and friends is one of life’s simple pleasures and being able to raise money for our brave RNLI crews while doing so makes it even better.’
