Prince William Named New Patron of Royal Cornwall Show
Prince William has been announced as the new patron of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA), the organisation behind the annual Royal Cornwall Show. This role aligns with his position as the Duke of Cornwall, a title he inherited following his father, King Charles III, ascending to the throne.
A Legacy of Royal Patronage
The RCAA has a long history of royal patronage, with King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II, and King Charles III previously holding the role. Prince Charles, now King Charles III, had been the patron since 2002 until his recent accession to the throne.
Commitment to Environmental Conservation and Innovation
The RCAA expressed its pleasure and honour in welcoming Prince William as their new patron. His dedication to environmental conservation and innovation is seen as a perfect match for the Association’s mission to promote agriculture and farming development in Cornwall.
Fostering Cornwall’s Heritage and Culture
The Association also emphasised its goal to highlight and promote the heritage and culture of Cornwall through local traditions, skills, and knowledge. The RCAA works to provide farming and rural education to schools across the Duchy, ensuring that Cornwall remains at the heart of all its initiatives.
Looking Forward to Future Engagements
Prince William’s new role as patron of the RCAA is eagerly anticipated by the Association, which extends its warmest welcome and heartfelt gratitude to him. The RCAA looks forward to Prince William’s involvement in future Royal Cornwall Show events, which will undoubtedly benefit from his support and dedication.
