RSPCA Cornwall Branch Embarks on Kennel Block Rebuilding Project
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) Cornwall Branch has announced the commencement of a significant development project at the Venton Centre, focusing on the reconstruction of the kennel block at their rehoming centre. This development has been highly anticipated and marks a pivotal moment for the facility dedicated to the welfare of animals.
Visitors to the centre will observe some changes, most notably the presence of temporary cabins in the car park area. These structures are in place to accommodate contractors and their teams who are working diligently on the site to bring the project to fruition.
The RSPCA Cornwall Branch is committed to ensuring that the impact on visitors and the operations of the centre is minimised throughout the construction period. Efforts are being made to keep Cooper’s Field, a popular area for hire at the centre, open to the public without interruption. However, the branch has advised that there may be occasional, unavoidable closures. Updates regarding the availability of Cooper’s Field will be communicated through its booking page, with the team providing as much notice as possible to avoid inconvenience.
With the construction activity, the branch has issued a caution to visitors about increased traffic and the presence of large vehicles and deliveries within the car park area. The safety of visitors and smooth operation of the centre remains a priority, and as such, extra care is being urged upon those coming to the site during this period.
The RSPCA Cornwall Branch extends its apologies for any inconvenience that the construction work may cause and expresses gratitude towards the public for their patience and understanding. The community is assured of regular updates on the progress of the construction as the branch looks forward to the completion of the kennel block, aiming to enhance its capacity to support and rehome animals in need.
