New Leadership at the Helm: Meet Saltash’s Newly Elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor

At the recent Saltash Town Council’s Annual Meeting, a new duo of local government leaders emerged.

Councillor Julia Peggs has been elected as the new Chairman and Mayor of Saltash for the term 2024-25, stepping into a pivotal role within the council. Joining her in leadership, Councillor Rachel Bullock secured the position of Vice Chairman and Deputy Mayor for the same term.

Appreciation for the Outgoing Mayor

The election night was also a moment of gratitude and transition, as both Julia and Rachel expressed their thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Richard Bickford. Richard, who dedicated two years to serving as Mayor, was recognised for his contributions and service to the town’s community.
