Tragedy at Saltash Waitrose: Woman Dies After Car Park Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a collision in a Saltash supermarket car park.

Emergency Services Called to Avery Way

Emergency services were called at 11.45am on Thursday 30th October to Waitrose in Avery Way, Saltash, after a collision involving several vehicles.

A blue Volvo V40 was in collision with a Suzuki Swift, a Ford Focus, and a Mercedes Sprinter van. All three of the other vehicles were parked and unattended at the time.

Police, ambulance and the air ambulance attended the scene.

Woman Pronounced Deceased

Sadly, a 78-year-old woman from Saltash, who was driving the Volvo, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A section of the car park was closed off while specialist roads policing officers carried out an investigation.

Witness Appeal

Officers are investigating the circumstances and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may have relevant dashcam footage.
