Cornwall and Devon Set to Boom for Staycations
UK holiday provider Parkdean Resorts says Cornwall, Devon, and Dorset are trending destinations for 2025. With demand rising fast, they’ve revealed three of the best South West Coast Path hikes featured in The Salt Path – two of which are based in Cornwall.
“As well as being the title of the memoir of Raynor Winn, the salt path refers to the South West Coast Path, which is a popular hiking location on the southwestern coastline of England,” Parkdean Resorts explains.
“The trail is known for its rugged beauty and serves as both a physical and emotional journey for those who walk it, making it a key setting for the film adaptation of The Salt Path.”
2 Stunning Hikes Featured in The Salt Path
1. Holywell Bay to Crantock, Cornwall
This 3.5-mile section of the coast path offers a breathtaking journey across golden sands and dramatic cliffs. Though it’s a short stretch, walkers can become fully immersed in the natural beauty of Cornwall.
2. Padstow to Stepper Point, Cornwall
Beginning at the harbour, this 3-mile route winds through the Camel Estuary – a haven for wildlife lovers. With views across the Atlantic and a chance to spot waders and waterfowl, the trail ends at Stepper Point, a headland with stunning ocean views.
