Alex Everett Extends His Stay at Cornish Pirates
Backrower confirms one-year extension with Cornish Pirates
Cornish Pirates backrower Alex Everett has signed a contract extension that will see him stay with the club for at least another year.
Now aged 28, Alex is coming to the end of his third season with the Pirates. Since joining the team, he has made 65 appearances and scored seven tries.
Award-winning performer
Originally from Kent, Alex was educated at The Judd School in Tonbridge before going on to study Ancient History and International Management at Cardiff University.
At the end of his debut season in Cornwall, he was named the club’s Player of the Year. Last year, he picked up the John Stirling Memorial Cup for Commitment and was also selected in the Championship clubs’ Team of the Season.
Leader on and off the field
In addition to his performance on the pitch, Alex has also taken on the captain’s role for the Pirates on several occasions.
With another season now confirmed, supporters will be glad to see one of the team’s standout players continue his journey in a Cornish shirt.
