The Cornish Pirates are scheduled to play the first of their three pre-season friendlies at home to Redruth on Saturday, with the kick-off scheduled for the earlier than usual time of 2pm.

After the hard graft weeks of pre-season training this match will prove useful for the players and coaches, plus it will give an opportunity for supporters to cast an eye over the squad, including the new signings.

Mentioning the seating aspect, it is important to note that as per last Saturday there will be no entry to the main grandstand for this fixture. This follows an inspection which has deemed it necessary for certain essential maintenance to be carried out in preparation for the start of the league season that gets underway in September.
