Exeter & Leinster Talent Join Cornish Pirates – What Impact Will They Make?
The Cornish Pirates have welcomed two new players to Mennaye Field on short-term loans, bolstering their squad ahead of their Premiership Cup clash against Gloucester.
New Additions to the Squad
Back-rower Lucas Dorrell has arrived from Exeter Chiefs, while prop Tom Connolly, who has been associated with Leinster, joins the team as well. Both players are available for selection with immediate effect.
Lucas has been named at openside wing forward for the upcoming Premiership Cup fixture against Gloucester, kicking off at 7.30pm tomorrow. Meanwhile, Tom is set to make his debut from the bench.
A Boost for the Pirates
Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach Alan Paver acknowledged the value of these new arrivals, stating:
“Obviously arriving with us is of help reference where we are at present, and we are extremely grateful. It also, of course, gives them the opportunity to experience playing in the Championship and to enjoy their rugby with us, which I am sure will be the case.”
As the team prepares for their next challenge, fans will be eager to see what impact the new signings will have on the pitch.
