He’s Staying! Pirates Star Dan Hiscocks Signs New Deal for 2025/26
Scrum half commits after standout debut season in Cornwall
The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that scrum half Dan Hiscocks has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club for the 2025/26 season.
Breakout Year for Dan
Dan joined the Pirates from Ealing Trailfinders last summer and has quickly made his mark in the Championship. The former Wales age groups halfback has featured in 21 games this season, scoring seven tries and cementing his place as one of the top number nines in the league.
Reflecting on his decision to extend his stay, Dan said:
“It was an easy decision to stay. I have absolutely loved my first season at the club and am so excited to be staying on to see where this group can go moving forward.”
Praise From the Coaches
Joint head coach Gavin Cattle also expressed his delight at Dan’s new deal, highlighting his contribution both on and off the pitch.
“Dan has had a great debut season for us and has played a lot more in the Championship after his move from Ealing. He has a lot of growth still in his game, and he is great for the environment day to day. Also being a popular member of the squad, it is great news.”
With his future now secured, supporters will be keen to see how Dan continues to develop in a Pirates shirt next season.
