Newquay Set for Wild Celebrations as Football Team Makes History – Here’s What’s Happening
Promotion Secured in Thrilling Clash
Newquay AFC have secured promotion to the Western League following a dramatic victory over Wendron AFC last night, marking a historic moment for the club and the town.
Describing it as a “night to remember”, Newquay AFC shared the news with supporters via Facebook, inviting the entire town to join in a day of celebrations on Saturday.
Open-Top Bus Parade – Saturday at 2:30pm
To mark the occasion, an open-top bus parade will set off from Chester Road, Newquay at 2:30pm on Saturday 19th April. The club is encouraging everyone to “paint the town red & white” and cheer on the squad as they make their way through the town.
Celebrate With the Team
Following the parade, fans will have the chance to continue the celebrations with the players. The team will be visiting local bars across Newquay where supporters can grab a selfie, raise a glass, and soak in the atmosphere.
“Let’s make this a day (and night!) we’ll never forget,” the club said.

Fans are encouraged to wear their colours and show their support for the team as Newquay enjoys a moment of pride and celebration.
