Will Trewin Secures Another Season with Cornish Pirates

The Cornish Pirates have announced that Will Trewin, their accomplished full-back and wing, will be continuing with the team for the upcoming season.

Will Trewin, a proud Cornishman aged 25, has made significant strides in his rugby career over the past two years with the Pirates. To date, he has made 37 appearances for the team, showcasing his versatility and skill both as a full-back and on the wing. His hard work and dedication were recognised at the end of last season when he was honoured with the club’s ‘Most Improved Player’ award.

Local Talent

Will’s rugby journey began at Helston RFC, followed by stints at Truro College and Cardiff Met University. He then played for Redruth and had experience with Exeter Chiefs under 23s and the Cornwall team, highlighting his strong ties to Cornish rugby.

Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach Gavin Cattle expressed his satisfaction with Will’s re-signing. “Will has been a big team contributor during his time with the Pirates, who has delivered not only on the pitch but off as well,” Gavin said. “As we have seen, he has developed his game and played consistently well in the Championship at either full-back or on the wing, and we are naturally delighted that he has signed for us again.”
