Visitors to Trevaunance Cove beach are being urged to stay vigilant following a recent cliff fall in the area. St Agnes Coastguard Search & Rescue Team has issued an important reminder for beachgoers to keep their distance from the base of cliffs while enjoying Cornwall’s stunning coastal spots.
The Coastguard team advised that people should remain at least the height of the cliff away from its base to ensure safety. For example, if the cliff is 20 metres high, beach visitors should stay 20 metres clear of the area beneath it. This caution is crucial to avoid potential harm from further cliff falls, which can occur without warning.
St Agnes Coastguard has stressed the importance of maintaining this distance and staying aware of surroundings while visiting Trevaunance Cove and other cliff-lined beaches.
Stay safe while enjoying the Cornish coast and always heed the warnings from local rescue teams.
