Cornwall Blood Bikes Receive Generous Donation from Nurses at Cornwall Hospice Care at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice

In a heartwarming display of community support, volunteers from Cornwall Blood Bikes (CBB), John and Andy, visited Cornwall Hospice Care at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice, St Austell, to receive a generous donation of ÂŁ100. This donation was uniquely raised by the hospice’s nurses, who chose to contribute to the charity instead of exchanging Christmas cards.

Cornwall Blood Bikes, a team of dedicated volunteers, plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare services in Cornwall. Their mission is to assist in patient care by delivering urgent medical supplies between healthcare facilities, a service they proudly provide free of charge. This contribution is particularly vital for the two hospices in Cornwall, Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and its counterpart, which are not part of the NHS but collaborate closely with NHS colleagues.

Mount Edgcumbe Hospice  are known for their exceptional end-of-life care, providing comfort and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families. The hospices boast a team of specialty doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, allied healthcare professionals, and family support counsellors, all dedicated to delivering compassionate care.
