St Austell Coastguard Recruiting Volunteers for Rescue Team
Hands-on Help Needed in Real-Life Emergencies
The St Austell Coastguard Rescue Team is on the lookout for new volunteer members to join their ranks. With a focus on helping the local community, the team is encouraging people from St Austell, Par and Fowey to come forward if they have what it takes to respond in emergencies.
Volunteers play a vital role in life-saving operations, including:

Cliff rescues
-
Missing person searches
-
Water rescues
-
Casualty care
What They’re Looking For
To apply, you must:
-
Be over 18
-
Hold a full driving licence
-
Have reasonable fitness levels
-
Live locally (St Austell, Par or Fowey)
-
Be a team player
-
Most importantly, bring bags of enthusiasm
Good daytime, night-time and weekend availability is also essential.
Meet the Team in August
Two station recruitment sessions are being held this month. These will give potential volunteers a chance to meet the team and find out more:

Tuesday 12th August, 7pm to 9pm
-
Saturday 23rd August, 10am to 12pm
