Hands-on Help Needed in Real-Life Emergencies

The St Austell Coastguard Rescue Team is on the lookout for new volunteer members to join their ranks. With a focus on helping the local community, the team is encouraging people from St Austell, Par and Fowey to come forward if they have what it takes to respond in emergencies.

Volunteers play a vital role in life-saving operations, including:

  • Cliff rescues

  • Missing person searches

  • Water rescues

  • Casualty care

What They’re Looking For

To apply, you must:

  • Be over 18

  • Hold a full driving licence

  • Have reasonable fitness levels

  • Live locally (St Austell, Par or Fowey)

  • Be a team player

  • Most importantly, bring bags of enthusiasm

Good daytime, night-time and weekend availability is also essential.

Meet the Team in August

Two station recruitment sessions are being held this month. These will give potential volunteers a chance to meet the team and find out more:

  • Tuesday 12th August, 7pm to 9pm

  • Saturday 23rd August, 10am to 12pm

To book a session or get more information, St Austell Coastguard ask you to message them directly.

Good luck with your applications.
