What Washed Up at Pentewan? Volunteers Fill Five Sacks in Just One Hour
A team of volunteers tackled marine litter at Pentewan Beach this morning as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean. The clean-up, led by Pat Smith and Cllr James Mustoe, saw over a dozen people collecting rubbish from the shoreline.
Rapid Clean-Up Effort
In just one hour, the team gathered five sackfuls of marine litter, along with some larger discarded items. The effort was part of a wider campaign to clear up coastal areas, with volunteers working together to improve the local environment.
More Beach Cleans to Come
Pentewan Hub Box supported the clean-up by helping to dispose of the collected waste. The St Austell Tidy Up Team has confirmed that further litter picks will take place every Saturday morning for the next three weeks. Visit their Facebook Page for more details.
