Open Farm Event at Trethinnick Farm, St Cleer on 6th July
A hidden corner of St Cleer Parish will be opened up to the public for the first time next month, as Trethinnick Farm hosts a free-entry open farm event on Sunday 6ᵗʰ July.
This one-off opportunity invites visitors to explore a farm rarely seen by locals or visitors, while tucking into homemade cakes and goodies along the way.
Explore Wildlife, Trees and 30 Years of Organic Farming
Running from 2pm to 5pm, the self-guided event will lead people along a trail through hay meadows, tree-filled areas and wildlife-rich spots that have been managed organically for over 30 years.
There’ll also be a chance to learn more about the 25 in ’25 hedgerow trees project, and find out about the ongoing work of the farm and the native flowers and wildlife found there.
Free Entry and Refreshments for a Good Cause
Entry is free, but refreshments will be on sale in aid of St Cleer Environmental Group, raising money to support their campaign to plant more trees in parish hedgerows.
Organisers recommend sturdy footwear, as the ground is uneven in parts, and ask visitors to walk or cycle if they can. Parking is available, and dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
If the weather is wet or windy, updates will be posted here:
