Illegal Drugs and Cash Seized During Police Raid in St Columb Major
Two arrested after cocaine, MDMA and cannabis found inside property
A police raid at a home in St Columb Major has led to the discovery of illegal drugs worth over £4,000, as well as a large quantity of cash.
The warrant, executed on 30th June under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, was carried out by officers from the Force Support Group and Newquay Neighbourhood Police Team.
Arrests Made
Two people were arrested during the search.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply both class A and class B drugs. He has since been released on police bail.
A 19-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. She has been released under investigation while further enquiries continue.
Community Information Led to Action
Inspector Steve Johnson said:
“Our neighbourhood officers continue to work closely to gather information from the community about suspected drug dealing in and around Newquay.
“I hope this shows that we’re taking action following the reports we receive. If you know something, see something or suspect something, please report it to us.”
He added:
“We will continue to carry out action like this to make towns across Cornwall a hostile place for people looking to commit crime.”
