Changes Coming to St Ives? Share Your Thoughts on New Junction Plans Now!
Members of the public are being invited to share their views on plans to re-design the Terrace junction in St Ives. The proposals aim to improve pedestrian access, increase space, and reduce the number of visitors driving into the town centre.
Part of a Low Carbon Future for St Ives
The redesign forms part of the St Ives Low Carbon Transport Strategy, which focuses on reducing the impact of vehicles on the town. The strategy encourages walking, cycling, and the use of public transport to create a more sustainable future for St Ives.
Consultation Open Until 25th October
The consultation, led by Cormac in partnership with the St Ives Low Carbon Transport Strategy team, will remain open until Friday, 25 October. Public feedback will be used to shape the final design for the scheme.
The proposals include widening the footway at the Terrace junction, upgrading the road surface, and changing signs and road markings to direct drivers to the Trenwith car park. Notices have already been displayed in the area, and local residents have received letters detailing the plans and consultation.
