Published On: 6 January 2025Last Updated: 6 January 2025By

St Ives BID has unveiled an exciting way for Cornwall residents to save money while supporting local businesses with the launch of the St Ives Gold Card on 2nd December 2024. Designed to strengthen ties between the community and local retailers, the card offers exclusive discounts and benefits to shoppers.

What Is the St Ives Gold Card?

The Gold Card is available for just £5 and provides Cornwall residents with access to special offers and a minimum of 10% off purchases at nearly 50 participating businesses in St Ives. The range of offers includes cafés, shops, and more, with some businesses offering up to 15% or 20% off throughout the year.

The card is valid until December 2025, making it a cost-effective way to enjoy savings over an extended period while contributing to the local economy.

Boosting Local Businesses and Community Projects

This scheme is about more than just discounts—it’s about fostering stronger community connections and boosting footfall for local businesses. By joining the programme, businesses receive promotional support, increased visibility, and online exposure.

Catherine Cooper, Business Liaison for St Ives BID, emphasised the positive impact of the scheme, saying, “All profits from card sales will be reinvested into local projects, and we’re inviting businesses to help decide how those funds are allocated. Times are tough for people right now, so extra discount is always welcome. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”

How to Get Involved

St Ives BID is raising awareness through social media promotions and local events to encourage more Cornwall residents to participate. Residents can purchase the Gold Card online by visiting www.stivesbid.co.uk.

This exclusive offer not only provides shoppers with great savings but also supports the vibrant St Ives economy. Every purchase made with the Gold Card helps keep local businesses thriving and reinvests directly back into the community.
