On Sunday, March 24th, from 12pm to 4pm, Bosavern Community Farm near St. Just will become a hub for environmental enthusiasts, gardeners, and families looking for a meaningful and fun day out.

The farm, located at TR19 7RD, is set to host its annual eco event, which promises an enriching afternoon filled with activities, learning, and community spirit.

Attendees can look forward to an array of vegetarian delicacies, including sumptuous meals, tea, and cake, complemented by plant sales, preserves, and fresh vegetables. The event will also offer practical services such as tool sharpening, alongside an extensive range of gardening supplies.

For those keen on learning, the day will be packed with demonstrations, talks, and tours focusing on the farm’s wildflower project, tree nursery, and market garden. Family-friendly activities will include egg-throwing competitions, crafting miniature Easter gardens, and a contest for the best decorated hat, ensuring entertainment for all ages.

Experts will be on site to share insights on a variety of topics such as scything, Cornish hedging, and gardening. Additionally, information will be available regarding Bosavern’s gardening courses, educational school visits, landscape recovery efforts, as well as the farm’s weekly volunteering opportunities and allotments.

In line with the event’s eco-conscious ethos, attendees are encouraged to use sustainable modes of transportation, such as walking, cycling, or public buses. The organisers have noted that parking space will be limited, reserved primarily as a drop-off zone and for those with disabilities, as the fields are expected to be muddy during the spring season.

Bosavern Community Farm’s annual eco event stands as a testament to the community’s dedication to growing, conservation, and climate awareness. It offers a unique opportunity for individuals and families to connect with nature, learn about sustainable practices, and contribute to a greener future, all while enjoying a day of fun and inspiration.
