Collecting Tin Vanishes from St Just Church – West Cornwall Search and Rescue Appeal for Its Return
A collecting tin belonging to West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team has recently disappeared from St Just Church. The charity, which relies on public donations to continue its work, has issued an appeal to the public for the tin’s safe return.
Charity Funds at Risk
The rescue team posted on social media, saying they would like to believe the tin’s removal was an “unintentional oversight” rather than an attempt to steal funds that support their crucial operations. West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team, a small charity, relies on contributions to purchase equipment and maintain services that help save lives in Cornwall.
They are asking whoever took the tin, even if it no longer contains any money, to return it. This would at least save the charity the cost of replacing the tin, which could otherwise be used for their operations.
How to Help
The team has urged anyone who has information about the missing tin to get in touch with them. You can contact them through their official website or by messaging them directly on their Facebook page.
They are also encouraging people to share their appeal on social media, helping to spread the word and hopefully track down the tin.
The missing collecting tin represents a loss for the team, but with public support, they hope to recover it quickly and continue their vital work across Cornwall.
