Easter Lifeguard Training Courses Announced in Cornwall
A lifeguard training course will run over the Easter holidays, offering people across Cornwall the chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications and develop lifesaving skills.
The course is being delivered by Surf Life Saving Cornwall, with support from Perranporth Surf Life Saving Club.
Two course options available
The Spring 2026 programme is a multi-club course designed to support clubs across the region, particularly those without Trainer Assessors or those unable to run a full course themselves.
Two qualifications are being offered:

Surf Lifeguard Award (SLSGB Course No. 052594)
Minimum age: 16 -
Surf Lifesaver Award (SLSGB Course No. 052595)
Minimum age: 14
Course dates and times
Attendance is required at all sessions.

Tuesday 14th April, Wednesday 15th April, Thursday 16th April and Friday 17th April
1.00pm to 6.00pm -
Sunday 19th April
1.00pm to 6.00pm -
Wednesday 22nd April
6.30pm to 8.30pm -
Sunday 26th April
1.00pm to 6.00pm -
Wednesday 29th April
1.00pm to 6.00pm -
Wednesday 29th April
6.30pm to 8.30pm -
Monday 4th May
9.00am to 5.00pm Exam
The course is open to members from across the county and is aimed at building skills and qualifications ahead of the surf season.
