Cornwall’s New Tech Demo Night: Could This Be Your Big Break?

Entrepreneurs invited to showcase ideas in friendly, inclusive setting

Tech founders and aspiring entrepreneurs in Cornwall have a new opportunity to present their ideas and receive real-time feedback with the launch of Demo Night Cornwall. Organised by Tech Cornwall in partnership with Canopy Community, this event series aims to help startups refine their products, avoid common pitfalls, and connect with industry experts.

The first Demo Night will take place on Wednesday 19th March at FibreHub, Pool, from 6pm, coinciding with UK Tech Week. Anyone interested in showcasing their product can register their interest here.

A Platform for Growth and Innovation

With startup failure rates reaching as high as 90%, Demo Night offers a way for founders to refine their ideas, receive constructive feedback, and network with tech enthusiasts and industry professionals.

“Demo Night is designed to combat startup failure and provides a platform to overcome these challenges by fostering collaboration, feedback, and innovation,” Tech Cornwall stated.

The event will feature live presentations where founders will introduce their tech and software products, engaging with a diverse audience through interactive tools like Mentimeter. Attendees will also have the chance to network and exchange insights with an international audience.

Where and When?

Demo Night Cornwall will run throughout the year, leading up to the flagship Cornwall Slush’D event in September. The full 2025 schedule is:

• Wednesday 18th June – Newquay Orchard
• Wednesday 17th September (Cornwall Slush’D) – Lighthouse Cinema, Newquay
• Wednesday 17th December – FibreHub, Pool

The events will take place from 6pm to 8:30pm, with a Tech Jam Late coding session beforehand, allowing attendees to gain hands-on experience before the main Demo Night presentations begin at 7pm.
