Lizard RNLI Coxswain Phil Woodcock Steps Down

The RNLI at The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station has announced that its Coxswain, Phil Woodcock, has decided to step down from the role.

Phil joined the station from St Marys RNLI Lifeboat Station, where he and his family have had generations of association with the RNLI.

In a statement shared by the station, they said:
“It is with regret that we announce our Coxswain Phil Woodcock has decided to step down from his position here at the station.”

Thanks for long service

The station added that Phil will be missed by the team at The Lizard and by the RNLI more widely, wishing him well for the future.

They said:
“Phil will be missed by us all here at The Lizard and by the RNLI and we would like to wish him the very best in whatever career path he chooses next. Thank you for your long and loyal service Phil.”

Applications are now open for the role of Coxswain at The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station. Further details and information on how to apply can be found on the RNLI website via the Coxswain vacancy page.
