Lizard RNLI Pays Tribute to Former Shore Crew Member Jim McConnell

The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station has shared the sad news of the passing of former colleague and friend Jim McConnell.

Jim was a valued member of the station’s shore crew during the 1990s. He worked at the old Kilcobben Cove lifeboat station alongside the team and the Tyne class lifeboat RNLB David Robinson.

Those who served with him have remembered Jim as a much valued part of the crew during his time at the station.

Funeral details confirmed

Jim’s funeral is taking place today, Monday 9th February, at St Wynwallow Church, with the service starting at 2pm.

The lifeboat station said its thoughts and condolences are with Jim’s family at this very sad time.
