Exciting New Development: Former Cornwall Council Office Campus to be Regenerated by Treveth
Local developer Treveth has announced ambitious plans to regenerate the former Cornwall Council Office Campus on Treyew Road, Truro.
The project aims to provide high-quality affordable homes and commercial spaces, continuing Treveth’s commitment to creating thriving, sustainable communities in Cornwall.
Informal Drop-In Session for Locals
Members of the local community are invited to attend an informal drop-in session to learn more about the regeneration project. The session will take place on Tuesday, 18th June, from 1.30pm to 6.30pm at the Truro Community Fire Station on Station Road, Truro.
Emma Rodgers, Senior Development Manager at Treveth, emphasised the importance of community involvement: “The drop-in session is designed as an opportunity to share information and for locals to meet the team behind the regeneration. We have found that this approach is key to giving us a deeper understanding about local community needs.”
Regeneration Plans Unveiled
The Treyew Road scheme, funded by Treveth, will focus on providing much-needed homes for local residents. The development will include 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes available for open market rent, affordable rent, and shared ownership. This project prioritises local connections and aims to discourage second home ownership.
The site, covering a total of 2.3 hectares, will be developed in four phases. The first phase will consist of 50 homes ranging from 1-bed to 4-bed units. Feedback from community events will help shape the final designs before the planning application is submitted later this year.
Treveth’s Continued Commitment to Cornwall
Since its inception in 2019, Treveth has been dedicated to building high-quality new homes and sustainable communities in Cornwall. The Treyew Road regeneration project is the latest in a series of developments aimed at benefiting local people.
Previous projects by Treveth in Truro include The Railway Tavern on Station Road, a mixed-use scheme currently in the planning stage, and the transformation of Pydar Street into a vibrant new neighbourhood and destination.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
The 18th June drop-in session is the first of several community and stakeholder events planned before the planning application submission. These events aim to gather input from local residents to ensure the development meets the community’s needs and expectations.
Dates for additional public consultation events will be announced later in the year, providing further opportunities for local residents to engage with the planning process and have their say on the regeneration of the area.
