Roseland Festival, taking place from Friday 19th to Sunday 28th April 2024. This ten-day festival promises an enriching blend of cultural activities, workshops, and performances designed to cater to a wide range of interests and age groups.

At the heart of the Roseland Festival is a diverse programme of events that includes craft workshops, children’s theatre, local folk music, guided walks, enlightening book talks, and gastronomic experiences celebrating wine and food. Highlighting the musical lineup are performances by Nathan, Daisy Rickman, and Nancy May, a contemporary classical soprano known for her current tour with Russell Watson, bringing new and exciting music to Roseland.

Highlights Not to Miss

The festival kicks off on the 19th with a feast at Philleigh Way Farm, setting the stage for a series of events that blend the local culture with national talents. Highlights include Emma Cowell’s book talk at St. Mawes Hotel, a lively performance by Daisy Rickman and The WAD Morris Dancers at Gerrans Memorial Hall, and the serene Curgurrell Farm Crab Lunch.

A special mention goes to the Fal River Cruise, an opportunity to explore the beauty of Roseland from the water, and the engaging storytelling and music evening with Trounce Guy and River Blue at the Sports & Social Club in Veryan.

For those with a passion for the arts, Fran Osborne’s pottery workshop offers a hands-on experience, while music lovers can enjoy performances ranging from the Falmouth Community Gospel Choir to the intriguing sounds of Acappella Sound and Roseland Poets.

Educational talks and workshops, such as the ‘All About Bees’ event and the ‘Seaweed Pressing Workshop’, offer insights into the natural world, blending education with entertainment.
