Truro Food Festival Returns to Lemon Quay This September
Cornwall’s food lovers are in for a treat as Truro Food Festival returns to Lemon Quay next week, bringing five days packed with flavours, fun and entertainment.
Running from 24th – 28th September, the festival promises to brighten the change of season with a dazzling line-up of chefs, interactive workshops, irresistible street food and artisan stalls.
A Feast for the Season
Visitors can expect stall after stall of fresh produce and artisan goods, showcasing the late summer harvest while offering a taste of comforting autumn flavours ahead.
This year’s programme also includes an exciting range of pre-bookable, hands-on workshops. Full details of the chef line-up and workshops can be explored on the Truro Food Festival website, where festival-goers are encouraged to plan their trip. Excellent GWR train connections into Truro are also being highlighted as a convenient way to travel.
Fringe Fun at Skinner’s Tap Yard
The festival doesn’t stop at Lemon Quay. Fringe events will be hosted at Skinner’s Tap Yard Bar each evening, featuring a chilli eating competition, lobster night, live music and even a silent disco.
Star Chefs and Special Guests
Big names from Cornwall and beyond are joining the line-up, including Paul Ainsworth, Nisha Parmar, Jude Kereama, Candice Brown, Charlie Walters and Jack Stein.
For something a little different, visitors can look out for The Crisp Sommelier, cook-come-comedian Rose Cant, and no-nonsense wine advice from freelance sommelier Elly Owen.
Paul Ainsworth said:
“Truro Food Festival captures what’s so special about Cornwall’s food culture – it brings together brilliant local producers, great chefs and fun interactive workshops that encourage everyone to get hands-on. It’s a true celebration of community, and I can’t wait to be involved again this year.”
Festival Lead, Stewart Girvan, added:
“I’m really excited about the whole event of course, as we build on the success of last year with a great line-up of chefs and some new additions to the event. This is a genuinely local food festival – packed with fresh produce and street food stalls, and really showcasing the Cornish food scene in all its quality and diversity.”
