Prison Sentence for Repeated Criminal Damage
Roger Duque, 39, of St Thomas Close, appeared at Truro Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage. He was sentenced to six months in prison, reduced to four due to his early plea.
The offences took place on 6th September and 31st October 2025, when Roger targeted vehicles parked in residential areas during the early hours.
PS Dave Pearce, who supported the investigation, said:
“I welcome this outcome from the court. Our neighbourhood team worked closely alongside the community and partner agencies to secure this conviction.
“We hope that this will bring some relief to the local community who have suffered as a result of Rogues behaviour.
“Our officers will continue to work with partners and the courts to prevent the reoccurrence of future offending.”

The court heard that in one of the incidents, Roger used a metal tool to create extensive scratches across several panels of a car, including the bonnet, door and roof. In the second incident, he punctured a tyre and scratched the driver’s side door of another vehicle.
