A mixed few days of weather are forecast for Cornwall, with milder conditions replacing the recent cold but the weather remaining unsettled through to the weekend.

Tuesday 13th January

Today will start largely dry but cloudy across Cornwall. As the morning progresses, showery outbreaks of rain are expected to develop, with further rain at times during the afternoon. Some of this rain could be heavy. It will feel mild, with a slight breeze.
Maximum temperature 11°C.

Tonight

Rain will clear away to the southeast this evening, leaving a dry night with clear periods. A widespread frost is expected to develop, with the chance of fog and icy patches forming in places.
Minimum temperature 0°C.

Wednesday 14th January

Early frost and any fog should clear to give a dry and bright start to the day. It will turn breezier during the afternoon, with cloud gradually spreading in from the west. Temperatures will be a little lower than today.
Maximum temperature 9°C.

Outlook: Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th January

Patchy rain on Wednesday night is expected to give way to more widespread wet and windy weather during the day on Thursday. Conditions are then forecast to improve, with sunshine and showers on Friday and Saturday.

Drivers and early morning commuters may want to take care over the next few days, particularly overnight and during the early hours, due to the risk of frost, fog and icy patches.
