Winds will be lighter overall from the southeast, though it will remain rather windy in west Cornwall. Temperatures are expected to feel mild, with a maximum of 10°C.

Conditions overnight remain mild across Cornwall and west Devon, with breezy spells and showers at times. Elsewhere it will be drier and colder, with clear spells developing. Patchy frost and some fog are expected, particularly across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Minimum temperatures could fall to 0°C.

Thursday 29th January

Thursday looks cloudier, with mist and murky conditions likely during the morning. Brighter spells may break through later, especially in the north and west. Showers are expected in the southwest, with rain moving in by the evening. Maximum temperatures are again forecast to reach around 10°C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday

The weather is expected to stay changeable through to the weekend, with rain or showers at times. Friday is likely to be the wettest day, while longer drier periods are forecast for Saturday and Sunday, along with occasional sunny spells. Temperatures are expected to remain close to average, with breezy conditions at times.
