Police Appeal After Sexual Assault in Camborne

Investigation Underway Following Early Morning Incident

Detectives have launched an investigation following a sexual assault in Camborne in the early hours of Sunday 2nd February.

Police were notified just after 2am to reports that a man had sexually assaulted a woman before fleeing the scene in the Barripper Road and Boundervean Lane area.

Officers attended the scene, and a police cordon was put in place while enquiries were carried out. The cordon has since been lifted.

The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

Police Seek Dashcam Footage

Detective Inspector Claire Nicholls acknowledged concerns in the community, stating:

“We understand an incident such as this has caused some concern amongst the local community. We are doing all we can to track down the suspect and will provide updates as we have them.

“We are seeking the public’s help and would specifically like to hear from you if you have dashcam footage available and were driving in the vicinity of Barripper Road, Boundervean Lane, or Pendarves Road between 12.44am and 1.35am on Sunday 2nd February.

Police continue their enquiries and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
