Edward Hain Centre to Host Open Day Celebrating Second Birthday and Lottery Grant
The Edward Hain Centre in St Ives is celebrating its second birthday with a Community Open Day on Saturday 6th September from 11am–4pm, alongside the announcement of a major funding award.
The Centre has secured a £172,000 National Lottery Community Fund grant, money raised by National Lottery players to support activities that help create resilient communities and improve lives across the UK.
Director Sharron Goldingay said, “We’re very excited about how many more services we will now be able provide!”
Trustee Kit (née Hain) Grindstaff, a descendant of Edward Hain, added, “We were already planning our event when the grant news came. So the timing is a wonderful coincidence! The event will now include presentation of a large, Lottery-style cheque.”
