Pete Tong Announced as Headliner for Lusty Glaze Sundowner Session 2026

Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay has announced a major Sundowner Session for next summer, with legendary DJ and broadcaster Pete Tong set to headline on Saturday 22nd August 2026.

A Global Dance Icon Comes to Newquay

The open-air show will bring Pete Tong’s decades of influence in electronic music to one of Cornwall’s most recognisable beach venues.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Pete Tong on our sands next year,” said Tracey Griffiths, Owner of Lusty Glaze. “He’s a true pioneer, someone who has shaped the soundtrack of club culture around the world.”

Tracey added, “Pete has played everywhere from Ibiza to LA to London’s O2 Arena, and bringing that legacy and musical craft to our Sundowner Sessions makes this one of the standout dates of the summer.”

Known for shaping dance music culture for more than thirty years, Pete Tong is the creator of Ibiza Classics, a BBC Radio 1 icon and the founder of the Essential Mix.

A 360° Stage on the Sand

For this special Sundowner Session, Pete Tong will play on a 360° stage, placing him at the centre of the crowd inside Lusty Glaze’s natural amphitheatre. The event promises classic house, contemporary electronica and dance anthems woven into a beach party atmosphere with views of the Atlantic.

The Sundowner Session will run from 3pm until late, with support acts and local favourites still to be announced. Guests can expect to dance barefoot in the sand as the sun sets across the cove.

Tickets and Accessibility

Tickets are on sale now via Ticket Tailor. Early bird prices are available. VIP tickets will include priority entry, VIP toilets, a VIP bar, a VIP viewing area and a welcome drink.

Access to Lusty Glaze Beach is via 133 steps and the venue advises anyone with mobility concerns to review the access information before booking. All tickets are non refundable.

This event is set to be one of the biggest dates in the Cornish summer calendar for 2026.
