Annie Mac to bring eight hours on the sand to Newquay’s Lusty Glaze
Eight hours, one cove and one of the best-known voices British dance music has ever had.
Annie Mac is coming to Newquay next summer, with a show booked for Lusty Glaze Beach on Friday 30 July 2027. Doors open at 3pm and the music runs until 11pm.
It is the latest big name added to the beach venue’s 2027 programme, following what it describes as an extraordinary 2026 season.

Two decades at the front of British dance music
Annie Mac spent 17 years presenting flagship music shows on BBC Radio 1, and in that time became one of the most recognisable voices in UK dance music. Millions of listeners heard emerging artists, underground sounds and electronic anthems for the first time through her shows.
Away from the radio, she has played some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and clubs, and built a reputation for high-energy DJ sets and a knack for bringing a dancefloor together.
She is also a bestselling author, with two books to her name (Mother Mother and The Mess We’re In), and co-hosts the BBC podcast Sidetracked with Nick Grimshaw.
Before Midnight and a different kind of night out
More recently she has been making waves with Before Midnight, her clubbing concept that moves the energy of a big night out into earlier hours. The idea is simple. A great night on the dancefloor doesn’t have to drag on until dawn.
The Lusty Glaze date leans into that, starting mid-afternoon and wrapping up at 11pm.
What Lusty Glaze says
Lusty Glaze owner Tracey Griffiths said: “Annie Mac is one of those artists who really needs no introduction. She’s been at the forefront of British dance music for more than two decades, helping shape the scene and introducing generations of music lovers to incredible artists along the way. To have someone with that kind of influence and reputation coming to Lusty Glaze is a real highlight for us.
“What I particularly love about Annie is that she’s never lost that genuine enthusiasm for discovering and sharing great music. She’s constantly evolving, finding new ways to connect with audiences and reminding us why we fell in love with music in the first place.”
She added that the aim has always been for the beach to surprise people.
“We’ve always wanted Lusty Glaze to be somewhere that surprises people, where you can see artists you might usually associate with the world’s biggest clubs and festivals in a completely different setting. Having Annie Mac here in our little corner of Cornwall is a perfect example of that.”

Glitterbox already on the 2027 bill
The announcement comes after news that house and disco brand Glitterbox will make its first ever South West appearance at Lusty Glaze on Saturday 26 June 2027. The Shapeshifters, Mousse T. and Barbara Tucker are already confirmed for that one.
The privately owned cove sits beneath tall cliffs in Newquay, and its events trade the usual festival field or nightclub for golden sand underfoot and the Atlantic as a backdrop. Barefoot dancing is part of the appeal.
More announcements are expected as the 2027 season takes shape.
Times and tickets
Annie Mac at Lusty Glaze Beach takes place on Friday 30 July 2027, from 3pm to 11pm.
The latest event announcements and ticket information are on the Lusty Glaze website.
“There’s already so much excitement building around next summer, and this is another announcement we’re incredibly proud to share,” said Tracey. “July can’t come soon enough!”
