Police Speed Checks This Week: Where Officers Will Be Watching 15th to 21st December
Devon and Cornwall Police’s Road Safety Team has confirmed where its speed detection team will be focusing during the week beginning Monday 15th December 2025.
Checks will take place across a mix of towns, coastal locations and major routes in both Cornwall and Devon throughout the week.
Where Speed Checks Will Be Taking Place
Monday
Redruth, Truro, Bodmin, Liskeard, Launceston, Honiton, Exeter
Tuesday
Falmouth, Camborne, Redruth, Wadebridge, Plymouth and the A386, Tavistock, Exeter, Crediton, A30 East and Mid Devon
Wednesday
Penzance, Launceston, Plymouth and the A38, North Devon Link Road and the A39, Tiverton, Teignmouth, Torquay
Thursday
Truro, St Austell, Liskeard, Plymouth, Taw and Torridge, Dawlish
Friday
North Devon Link Road, Tiverton, A30 Mid and West Devon, Honiton, A38 South Devon
Saturday
Truro, St Austell, Plymouth and the A38, Ottery St Mary, A30 East Devon, Exmouth
Sunday
Perranporth, Redruth, Camborne, Plymouth, Tiverton, Cullompton, Exeter
Weather Warning Issued
A yellow rain warning is in force today, with drivers advised to take extra care on the roads. Motorists are being reminded to use headlights, reduce speed and allow for extended stopping distances in wet conditions.
Motorcycles are noted as being particularly vulnerable during wet weather, with drivers asked to remain alert and give riders additional time and space.
