Truro City Clean Up Taking Place 13th and 14th March

Truro’s Big Clean Up Returns This Week… Can You Spare an Hour?

Truro BID is hosting its ninth City Clean Up this week, inviting businesses, organisations and community groups to help tidy the city.

The clean up will take place on Friday 13th March and Saturday 14th March, with a series of organised litter picks and maintenance activities across Truro.

The event is being run by Truro BID in conjunction with Newham BID, with the aim of encouraging as many people as possible to volunteer an hour, or whatever time they can spare, to help clean and tidy the city.

Community Groups and Volunteers Getting Involved

Local community volunteer Paul Caruana is organising litter picks in neighbourhoods surrounding Truro as part of the City Clean Up.

Damien Richards, Community Development Officer at Truro City Council, will also be inviting community groups from across the city to take part.

Organisers have thanked everyone who has already volunteered time to help spruce up Truro during the two day event.

City Clean Up Schedule

A number of activities are planned across both days.

Friday 13th March 2026

• Tregolls litter pick, 10am to 11am

• Cable tie cutting, sign washing and sticker removal, 12.30pm to 1.30pm

• Newham BID litter pick, 3pm to 4pm

Saturday 14th March 2026

• City Life Church and Trelander and St Clements Community Association litter pick, 10am to 11am

• Friends of Daubuz Moor litter pick (own equipment), 10.30am to 12 noon

• Tesco/Aldi litter pick (BID equipment), 11am to 12pm, TBC

• Cable tie cutting, sign washing and sticker removal, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
