Wadebridge’s Plonk’d Launches New Spanish Brunch You’ll Want to Try

A Spanish inspired restaurant in Wadebridge is adding something new to its offering, with the launch of a weekend brunch designed to bring the flavours of Northern Spain to North Cornwall.

A New Chapter for a Popular Spot

Plonk’d, founded in 2023 by hospitality duo Jonny and Jess, has built a strong following since opening. The restaurant and bar is known for its ingredient led plates, low intervention wines and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere close to the North Cornish coast.

Now, the team has introduced a Spanish inspired brunch menu, served every Saturday from 10am until 2pm. The new menu has been created with relaxed mornings in mind, focusing on bold flavours and generous portions that reflect the kitchen’s existing style.

What’s on the Menu?

The brunch offering includes a mix of savoury and sweet dishes rooted in Spanish cuisine.

Highlights include Steak and Eggs, featuring Iberico Presa with eggs on Coombeshead Farm sourdough, and Huevos Rotos, made with baked eggs and fried potatoes.

For those looking for something sweeter, Torrija offers a Spanish style French toast. It is available with smoked bacon and maple syrup or with berries, yoghurt and honey.

A more traditional Spanish breakfast is also available, including Jamon Iberico, Manchego and pan con tomate, alongside other dishes.

Drinks to Match

The brunch menu is paired with a carefully selected drinks list. Guests can enjoy coffee from Rising Ground, fresh juices, or explore the restaurant’s wine selection.

There is also the option of free flowing Cava priced at £35 per person, available for up to 1.5 hours, with the condition that everyone at the table takes part.

Jonny and Jess continue their focus on small producers and interesting varietals, aiming to make wine accessible and enjoyable.
