Two decades across hotels, resorts and golf
Andrew is originally from Devon and joins SeaSpace after a career spanning hotels, restaurants, golf resorts and leisure destinations across the UK. Over the past 24 years he has worked his way through senior leadership roles into general manager positions at some of the country’s better-known leisure and accommodation businesses.
His previous roles include general manager at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire and more than five years leading two Parkdean Resorts properties.
What the job involves
At SeaSpace, Andrew will oversee the whole guest experience and the day-to-day running of the site. He will also support the continued growth of the brand and its people-first culture.
Andrew said joining the business was a chance to be part of something different.
“Joining SeaSpace was an opportunity to be part of something genuinely different. The ambition to redefine coastal hospitality, the freedom to help shape a new brand from its infancy and the chance to create a destination that people want to return to again and again made it an easy decision.”
Ben Harper, CEO of SeaSpace, said the appointment came at the right moment for the business.
“Andrew joins SeaSpace at an exciting stage in our journey as we continue to build a brand that pushes the boundaries of what hospitality can be. His extensive operational experience, passion for developing high-performing teams and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences make him a great fit for our culture and ambitions.”
A year of awards and shortlists
The appointment follows a strong twelve months for the Newquay business. Over the last year SeaSpace picked up the Best Accessible Design Award at the 2025 Brit List Awards and was rated number 6 in Business Cornwall’s Best Places to Work in Cornwall.
It has also been shortlisted for the Sustainable Business Award at the 2026 Cateys. Winners there are announced on Tuesday 7 July.

What SeaSpace actually is
SeaSpace sits on the dramatic coastline at the edge of Newquay, between Porth and Watergate Bay, and less than ten minutes from Newquay airport. The pitch is a mix of studios and apartments inside a design-led hotel, built around community and the beach.
Accommodation runs from studios and large studios with a bunk room through to 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, plus accessible studios. Every room is dog-friendly.
On site there is a 19m swimming pool and hot tub, the SeaSpace café serving breakfast, brunch, coffee and lunch, a 5-court padel tennis club, and a fully equipped gym and fitness studio with membership options. For families there are indoor and outdoor play areas, including a family maze, an outdoor playground and an indoor games room.
The hotel works with a string of partners, among them Padel UK, Tallo, Wavehunters, Origin Coffee Roasters and Roddas.
With the Cateys result still to come on 7 July, Andrew arrives with plenty already on the table.
